I've just received the Cryorig XT140 to put ontop of my C7, I'll test when I get home tonight and post my results. C7 fan is 15mm, XT140 is 13mm, so hopefully that'll make it quiet down a bit.
This weekend i will try the lp53 with the a9x14 and post a video and some temps, i'm also waiting on a nexus to come sometime soon, i will do the same for that if i can fit it in
When do you plan to have US shipments complete? No last weekend. Last week Monday to Friday there was a delay because of German Customs. Please read my updates on Kickstarter.
Just got My ar05, but first, these are the temps for the Cryorig C7:

Not bad, but the noise obviously is annoying at full fan speed.
Now for the SilverStone AR05, here is a video:
Idle speed: 1124 RPM
Full speed: 2320 RPM
Very very quiet at full speed, which is great! But these are the temps with a 6700k @ 4.4Ghz:

Ouch, within the first minute it hit 100°C, I wouldn't recommend the SilverStone AR05 cooler if you are planning to overclock, but if you aren't looking to overclock its very very quiet at 100% fan speed (86°C max @ stock speeds).

@Meccabolix
you call this "quiet"? I call it "annoying" which is the equivalent to the NH-L9i @ 2500rpm and above.
Which CPU fan you are using ? is it the one in here ? https://hardforum.com/threads/dan-a...in-the-world.1799326/page-144#post-1042412680
Great , how did you attach the fan to the heat-sink ? does the fan comes with the mount clips ? or you are using the original clips from the heat-sink ?
What's the LED above your power button? Is it stock?
just go a reply back for some Samsung DDR4 VLP NON-ECC and UNREGISTERED memory. so basically should to work with strix z270i motherboard with the nexus cooler and a big 2120mm fan if nothing else on the motherboard gets in the way
I asked a second quote for some 16GB sticks
UPDATE :
16GB 2133MHz 1Gx8 Samsung 2 2 M4UR-AGS1WC0G-B £96.20
16GB 2133MHz 1Gx8 Samsung 2 2 M4U0-AGS1WCRG £96.20
Looks like blonda007 modded the case with a Vandal switch and an LED... I would appreciate if someone could post photos of their modded assembly. What's the LED above your power button? Is it stock?
I have the silver case, no LED.
Also: the silver button seems to be different.
Yours looks very nice as well.

Non K CPUs arent really cooler... Also K CPUs have a better resell value
1) K CPUs generate a lot of extra waste heat. For example, the difference between 7700K and 7700 playing the same video game can be 25 degrees.
Please don't mislead other people without checking the numbers.
1) K CPUs generate a lot of extra waste heat. For example, the difference between 7700K and 7700 playing the same video game can be 25 degrees. Thats is 30% more heat for ~3% more fps. Physics is quite simple, more Watts = more heat. Read the review here:
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/intel-kaby-lake-core-i7-7700k-i7-7700-i5-7600k-i5-7600,4870.html
2) Resale value is technically better for K CPUs, but only by ~0.5%, totally insignificant. Also i5s are better resale value than i7s. (i5s are also cooler).
https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_value_available.html
So considering cooling limitations of the Dan case, I would absolutely recommend buying a non-K CPU. I think i7-7700 or even an i5-7600 would be ideal for AR05 / Li9.
Yeah when i put the side panel you can ear the fan hitting it and then it stops =sAre the fan blades physically touching the sidepanel?
Did you have to expand the power button hole at all to get the vandal switch to fit?
And what diameter switch did you use?
No, it shouldn't... Anyway, I made a little mock-up with cardboard to get custom cable lengths and I was looking at my SF600 PSU thinking, there's a lot of wasted space down there once I have the more manageable custom cables...hmmm. A 120mm cooler wouldn't fit so I started to see if there was a 92mm AIO cooler on the market and there is!
I'm not sure if this will work now or not based off the 50mm measurement, but I found this tiny AIO manufactured by Asetek. As many as you know Asetek basically invented the AIO cooler. They manufacture all of Corsair's and NZXT's coolers to this day. The rad is 92 x 92 x 30 with no fan... I thought if I were to fabricate a fan window where the SSD/HDD mount is, maybe I could liquid cool this beast out the bottom! I mean it's still possible I suppose. 60mm would have been a lot better, but with some minor modding/slim fan it could work! The only downside to this of course is figuring out a way to get air around the mainboard. But there could be a fan suspended above the heatsink via threaded sleeve nuts/standoffs coming off the mounting hardware... I dunno. Just an idea as I researched the best form of cooling. Thoughts? It's hard when you don't have the case in front of you... I feel like I'm forgetting about something that might cause interference...
Hi, Dan
What about installing a AIO CPU-cooler, like the Sliverstone
TD03-SLIM 120 mm rad (http://silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=598&area=en).
And installing the rad behind the psu if you use a shorter GPU like Gigabyte 1070 mini (http://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-N1070IXOC-8GD#kf)
or Zotac 1080 mini (https://www.zotac.com/us/product/graphics_card/zotac-geforce-gtx-1080-mini).
There should be enough space behing the psu next to the left sidepanel?
It's pretty tempting if it would work
