DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

Currently I have a sf-450 in the Dan Case. Even though everything is running maxed out. The PSU is the loudest item in the case. Is there a more quiet PSU out there or am I stuck with that loud thing.
That PSU isn't loud, you must have a defect one - RMA it.

Case arrived today (Overclockers UK shipped DHL to Australia).

Did a quick build:

Parts:
MSI H110i Pro
i5-6500
Cryorig C7
Corsair Vengeance LPX DD4-2133 2x8GB
Samsung XP941 M.2 SSD 512GB
MSI Aero OC GTX 1070
Corsair SF450

Very happy with how easy this case is to build in. Plenty of room around the graphics card. The front USB cable, power switch cable and mains power cable are all ~100mm too long for my build. But I'm guessing Dan's done it this way to ensure compatibility. You can route these cables around the front of the case and bunch them there, though.

Will definitely have a go at making custom PSU cables as the ones provided with the SF450 are stiff and far too long for this build. Quick stress test had fine temps (CPU ~65C during Prime95 and GPU ~80C during Heaven).

All in all - very happy with this tiny powerhouse!

give us the temp for the gpu and cpu =) would you recommend the blower type cooler?

Haven't had time to run a proper set of tests yet but will post some details when I do.

Regarding the blower card - it's pretty hot, and pretty noisy once the fan spins up. And I've never tried overclocking it past the factory overclock. I'm sure there are cooler/quieter options. But the temps are only a few degrees higher with the side panel on the A4-SFX on, so I think the blower style works quite well with this case. For the money, I think it's a great card.

Im also interested of temps on cpu and motherboard with blower style gpu because this get the heat out instead of dumping it in the small case as Aftermarket Gpu cards do.

Like real gaming in BF1 or other more demanding games

ryan mildiner: I don't let DHL come for one palette. So from packing on the palette to pick up from DHL it could take 7 days. if iam 7 days ill you have to add 7 days (14 days) like now. Today I will be done with all EU shipments and DHL will pick them up on monday.

I was fine on tuesday and since this day i made 280 parcels ready. Next to the A4 project I have a normal 8h job, so currently I work 12h-16h every day.
Have DHL pick up the EU shipment as you said?

Just checked mine (Czech Republic) and not yet.
Still only: "The instruction data for this shipment have been provided by the sender to DHL electronically"

Same for me (sweden). Soon I will build my computer direct on my desk

I'm interested in m.2 temps. Anybody with m.2's willing to post some temps under normal load (i.e. not a benchmark)?

Same for me,
Netherlands Status from 02.02.17

I understand that Dan has a very busy period combining a regular job with finishing the packaging job, I am unsure though why he does not let DHL pick-up daily or minimal 2 times a week, because it seems now the whole "I send based on number of backers" is irrelevant as they appear to be picked up in a single go by DHL.

Prepared shipment OC & Case King > Picked-up by DHL
prepared shipment Germany > Finished > picked-up DHL > ~ 1 week time period ~400 cases
Prepared rest of Europe in sequence of backers, Dan indicating to have finished this last week, however all orders still await pick-up?
overseas and others > still to prepare

I do not have any issue with not having the case yet though, as I am still waiting on parts for the build. I hope for future runs of this case or any other project he might consider to have Lian-Li sent out the cases directly to the customers like the M1. It would seem far more efficient to
have them do the shipping directly after the production run.

Portugal here too, and also the same. I guess we have to wait. It would be fun to know how much people bought the case on each country :p I tought i was alone in Portugal, guess we are 3 now

I understand Dan is busy and has other obligations but I'd just like an ETA or status update on US shipments. He mentioned German customs delaying outside shipments but I still don't even know if he's gotten his US shipments picked up from DHL yet.

Maybe the 1080ti will be on sale by the time I get a case after all...

That's why I'm not really concerned when it will be here. The gpu I'm going to get isn't even out yet.

US backers should be able to build Ryzen/Vega builds and all the components should arrive at the same time :D

Pretty sure you have to actually package (= print and process the DHL labels) before you can send it. And if he's sending out 500 packages at the time, it's no surprise there's a week between your dhl email and the actual shipment.

You should get an email in the next two hours ;)

Yes there will be new products :) I have two new project in my mind will start with them after i am done with shipment.
Looking forward to see them! Can you book me right now? hahahahaha
I'm waiting to have my case in July! :(

Fell in love with the A4-SFX the first time I saw it.
Being out of Windows game PC for over 10 years (switched to Apple and still like that eco-system) I went ahead and bought a Dan A4-SFX case to create a new game PC...

I was lucky to survive the Caseking blackout when Dan's case went life, and successfully placed the order.
The case arrived Monday in Belgium via GLS.

All the other components still need to arrive, I'll take as many photos as humanly possible during the build - in case anyone is interested.

The components that need to arrive are:
- Asus ROG STRIX-GTX1080-A8G-GAMING
- Asus Republic Of Gamers Z170 MAXIMUS VIII IMPACT

Can't wait!

Great, the parcels for EU are picked up today. It looks like they arrived in the first parcel center. I think all EU customers will get the case in the next 7 days. I made a new update on Kickstarter for all third party country customers.

Hackintosh with kabylake cpu and igpu will be fully working in no time, so you can have the best of two worlds, unfortunately without gtx 1080 in mac os

UK here, DHL tracking is still listed as awaiting collection, though DHL could just be slow in updating the status.
::EDIT: Now marked as collected!

Oh my. I didn't realize how expensive SFF could get for top of the line parts https://pcpartpicker.com/user/husky8/saved/#view=ckwD3C (All prices are what I actually paid. Low prices you see are eBay)

Holy crap man, do you really need to spend $1500 on 3TB of the fastest SSDs? Are you editing 4k video or something? Even then, is 2TB not enough? Especially since you're sacrificing on the graphics card.

Gents, count me in for nr. 4 to Portugal !

My 270I mobo arrived today. All I need now is a cooler and a GPU... and a case to put it all in. And I thought I was being patient in my component buying! ;)

If any caseking or overclocker case owners can test a C7 with a noctua fan vs. the C7 stock fan... that would be sort of the last unknown on my list.

$1500 in storage but you opt for a 1070? Com on man

The 1070 was purchased near release to replace a 980 ti that failed and was being RMA'd, and I ended up keeping it instead of the 980 ti. It's now my placeholder for a 1080 ti. I didn't feel the need to purchase a 1080 in the mean time.

No. What happened was, I found a 1TB 960 for a great deal on eBay ($500) and I wanted to utilize the second m.2 slot on the z270i. 1TB actually is not enough for me with games and everything included. I thought I could get another sweet deal on a 1TB 960 to put me at $1k total for 2TB super fast storage. About 1.5TB would be just enough, so 2TB would be great. I do video editing, photography, and a ton of gaming. I was able to haggle someone to $1050 on a 2TB 960 Pro with some luck (from $1300). I thought this would be perfect if I can then sell the 1TB 960 Pro for a profit. Here I stand. 1TB 960 Pro with .1TB written is for sale for like $575-$590. I also wouldn't mind keeping it for a while. The idea of having 3TB without using a sata port is kinda cool.

Oh, and I'm not sacrificing on the graphics card. A 1080 right now is within budget. I just don't feel it's necessary with the 1080 ti right around the corner per the above. I'm still trying to be realistic though and purchase things I'll use.

do i get to be the first person to have a dan case arrive damaged? almost looks like they ran a forklift into the box, ~120mm gash in the box and gouge in the broad side of the A4-SFX all the way down to the metal. just entered a claim in with DHL but really concerned how they will resolve it, especially since the case can't just be replaced. :(

Maybe Dan can send you a new side panel if you send the documentation.

we'll see how DHL responds to the claim, and whether I have to rope overclockers into this. it was purchased through them so i'm going to try resolving things via DHL and overclockers before bothering dan. thankfully the other one arrived unscathed and with some luck my other one from caseking will also arrive undamaged.
