I have a Dell D620 at work that hooks into a dock and routes to two monitors. Is there any software that would allow the laptop screen to be used as a third monitor? Haven't had much luck researching prior to posting...thanks for any help.

Which dock are you using? If the dock is using the laptop's GPU then I'd say 2 monitors is the max (including the laptop screen).

However, if you used a USB video card for one of the external monitors then the laptop screen can be used again. Another option is to get a doc with a PCI slot, and then put in a PCI video card to run the two external monitors.

Not possible. Hardware can't handle it. Driver won't let you.

You need a USB video card, or an advanced docking station with a PCI video card.

EGPU would allow you to hook up as many as say a eyefinity 6 can handle or a USB based video card. I personally love the USB solutions if you just need more documents up although the USB 3 are suppose to handle video/graphics better.
