The EA games might have been cheaper (or will be) if they show up and you can catch them on those 2 hours EA insider deals. Armageddon isn't to interesting from what I hear for this price, but the price is lower now if you want it.

With regards to Origin activation, it seems to activate any newer (like say 2009 on up) EA game, no matter the source. I've activated games from retail box, and from Steam, without problem.

Hum. Alice is suppose to be good; that is an adventure game ?

Yes. Origin is still in Beta. More games will be able to be added to your library when it's officially out of beta.

The only game I tried that wouldn't activate is BF2, but I hear if you contact support they will do it. But I didn't post guarantees in the OP, since I can't test all these, or have confirmed tests done them. But I think it is fair to give EA credit in this case, since they up responsibility and act as a backup for your games regardless of how you purchase.

It is an 3D action/platformer. The graphics aren't technically impressive aside from PhysX support, but the aesthetics (art direction/design) is great, dare I say amazing?

every fucking time man...

If I pay with paypal or my credit card, I ALWAYS get this shit...

I have played the first 2 so I'd like to have this but still probably won't bite. Would definitely buy this if it was on steam or origin. I love steam and although I'm not a huge origin fan, origin is better than just downloading off some random game website and never having access to it again.

I still have access to the first game I bought off D2D 5 years ago.

None of the EA games will activate on Steam. They should activate on Origin though.

The forum won't let me link to the Steam page with retail keys directly, but go to Google and search for "steam retail cd keys". First link will take you to the list of games that can be activated on Steam.

roger that think ill wait for ds2 then, but im in for alice...didnt even know that game was out! i had no internet for a few months

I never used D2D before how does this work exactly? Are the games downloaded Steam style or do you get the game the old way where it is one huge installer? AC:Brotherhood is what I'm looking to pick up.

Edit:

Damn, it is the standard one not the deluxe version.

Edit2:

Well ain't that something I already own a game with this service. In 11/27/05 I bought Tomb Raider: Chronicles :D

If you activate the game with Origin and install it through that program, you'll get the DLC. If you download and install the D2D version of the game, you won't.

Thanks, that's what I was hoping :)

edit: what's with charging tax? That's lame.

It probably depends on your location, I guess there "physical" office is in your state. I don't get charged tax, but I'm not even in the same country lol...

you have to activate the code on origin (it works i just tried it) and than purchase the add the dlc on origin and checkout. its free and it will add them to your account.

Ah thanks. Do I get the Origin or non-Origin version? Seems like either one might work?
Update: Origin one worked fine.

Btw, for anyone wondering, all the reviews were right: The first Shift game is much better. The controls feel better in Shift1, the graphics are better in Shift1, the car sounds were better, and basically everything about the campaign was better as well. There's absolutely no reason to buy Shift 2 unless you just really have to have a handful of new cars that are modeled much more poorly or you are a glutton for punishment.
