D-link WIFI problems

I have just recently installed a D-link 614+ router. I want to connect to it trough WIFI with my IBM T30, however I have a problem. The network would periodically go down for a second and that come back up. It happens every 2 minutes or so. Can anyone suggest a way to solve this. I have upgraded the firmware on the router and gone through all support material on D-link site, but I can't find anything.

For extra information I want to add that I have a neighbor who has a WIFI installed also and he broadcasts his SSID. Maybe this can be a cause.
 
On your Thinkpad, check your wireless connection properties. There should be a box to enable 802.1x authentication. Make sure this is DISABLED. I ran into that problem with my Toshiba Tecra S1, and after unchecking the problem was solved.
