you can import the lancher into steam, like you can with anything. but I could not find anything stating you can get a steam key for a GOG game and import the key into steam. I looked everywhere on my witcher 3 install and there are no keys to be found..

And the gotcha to just adding a shortcut in Steam to another game's launcher/executable, is that Steam won't auto update the title like if it were purchased through Steam.

Conversely, a GOG game won't update itself without Galaxy installed.

So I may just buy the damn thing twice - GOG and Steam - to help me with the myth of my luxurious and extravagant life.

The thought was that GOG could die (they did have a recent layoff) which complicates matters. Steam isn't going anywhere any time soon and I appreciate the service as a library management tool.

Well, I guess you could always just download the game to your hard drive after you purchase it, they give you that option. But I can see your concern.

At the time there were extensive threads at the CDPR forums, neogaf and reddit with numerous examples of botched paint jobs and cracked versions. I still think that for the money one is better of paying extra for a high quality Side Show collectible version or the like where quality is guaranteed, especially because the prototype versions shown off by publishers are one off hand crafted creations used for marketing purposes.

All these SJWs are just looking for attention, not sure if they were coddled too much or given no attention at all as kids. I couldn't believe it when people were complaining that Kingdom Come was racist because there were no black people in 14th century Bohemia. Now we have people complaining about posters in Cyberpunk 2077, a game centered around body modification and corporations. The end times are coming!

Exactly. The female artist of that poster explained herself pretty well from what I glanced.

There will (hopefully) be many more nontroversies like this on the road to release date. We'll see more gameplay at Gamescom, and maybe more people get offended because all it does is builds more hype - not that the game needs it since people are already expecting God's Gift To Gaming out of this thing.

If it's not offending, it's not art. And if it's not art, it ain't shit.

Ok, that’s what I thought, but due to the existence of GOGConnect and recent Epic pressure I thought maybe I missed something wonderous. :D

In fact, if Steam and GOG want to decimate EGS, they should do some two-way licensing deals ;)

Meh, typical click bait "activism". The same blogger would have bitched if the game did not show a trans person somewhere in the game.

I'm excited for this game. By the time it releases I will be in a position to build another gaming rig that'll handle this game easily without RTX enabled even though I'll have an RTX graphics card.

Setting my sights on a 9900KS, custom liquid cooling loop, RTX 2080 Ti Super (as long as the price isn't too outrageous), 32GB PC3200 DDR . 2TB SSD primary, 2TB SSD secondary and a Seasonic 1200 watt PSU crammed into a TT Core X5 chassis. It'll be fun times when I get to that point. :D

That's Europe... The availability of PC CE in that region was never an issue. I think it's still available for purchase from Game, but they won't ship outside of UK.

Afaik there wont be a 2080 ti Super just a 2060,2070 and 2080 but since it's all still rumours, who knows.

Maybe one day these activist "journalists" will come to realize that most consumers think they are insufferable pompous arseholes and don't give a shit about their opinions. Pretty much guarantees that Cyberpunk is going to sell like hotcakes.

Hype notwithstanding I had several concerns and questions about gameplay put to rest with this video for the most part.

I am wondering looking at that honestly: The current consoles likely aren't going to be able to run this with any justice.

I'm having a hunch this gets pushed back more or less around the time the new Xbox hits next Fall but we'll see. We will all cry but I really do not want this to come out as a buggy mess.

I suspect a number of those 2020 games are going to be "second half of the year" releases for the obvious reason.

Everything they have shown recently looks pretty fantastic IMO. I can't see either of the current high-end consoles (the X and Pro) even being able to run this above 1080p/30. At least not without upscaling. I bet they focus on the newer consoles as a better showcase platform. It'll be interesting what kind of PC you need to run this thing as well. I can only hope that they're doing everything they can to optimize for higher framerates. The videos show what appears to be higher FPS in the action sequences vs. some choppier low-fps sections with up-close dialogue in the city. As a member of the "60 or nothing" club, I hope that isn't intentional.

Last year's E3 gameplay footage was shown on this:
    • CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K running at 3.7GHz
    • RAM: 32GB G.Skill Ripjaws V running at 3000MHz
    • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
    • SSD: Samsung 960 Pro (512GB)
    • Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix Z370-I Gaming
    • PSU: Corsair SF600 600W
Since RTX is planned for this, I suppose you'll want 2080 variant or whatever is available at the time, but I'd use that as a baseline for PC reqs.

That's actually pretty similar to my current setup. Any idea what they were using this year? There are some pretty clear bogdowns and choppy areas...although it's obviously just a demo.
As long as they have a resolution scaling modifier option I suppose that doesn't matter anyway. Worst case I'll just lower the modifier to 85 or 90%.

I believe most big games are run on pretty high-end systems at these shows. Since they're still in development and not optimized yet it makes sense to have everything run on the best systems they can.

It's 50/50 whether these two are annoying or informative. That may even be a bit generous. SkillUp I can kind of tolerate, the other dude though I just want to mute most of the time. Still, welcome info.

I thought this guy did a decent break down:

There is also a good interview with the Lead Quest Designer Pawel Sasko, who's enthusiasm is as fun to watch as the info he provides:

Lastly, from a bigger picture, I enjoyed Keighly's interview of Marcin Iwiński:

Surprised they didn't pop a 9900K in there. Maybe they just re-used the same PC but swapped the GPUs.
It makes sense for them to use the fastest parts they can, otherwise they risk any kind of frame dip during demos and the press goes into panic mode. There was no resolution/fps specified, either.

Otherwise, what, they use an R5 1600 and a GTX 1060 so the 0.1% of PC gamers who actually care enough to look at the E3 specs can feel better about the game's optimization? idk. It's just as useless as the "Recommended/Min" specs... That being, totally meaningless.

May be a good sign; a few less threads, slightly lower average clocks, perhaps the engine isn't too taxing on the CPU. If it's rolling DX12 or Vulkan, may explain a bit of it.

Granted, we don't know what actual settings were being used at E3 but it should be expected this game is going to be graphically demanding. Test specs for the E3 demo:

    https://www.dsogaming.com/news/repo...nvidia-geforce-titan-rtx-intel-core-i7-8700k/

A few people around the net are already complaining about the ridiculous cost of such a GPU to run a game but I guess they don't remember how both W2 and W3 needed similar power to run at highest levels. It wasn't until I got a 2080TI that I could run W3 at 60+ fps/4k and some HD texture mods with max settings on all.

I'm hoping we'll see a 2nd gen RTX GPU by Nvidia or maybe something similar from Intel or AMD next year. I'm willing to wait till later in 2020 to buy the game if that is the case. Especially since I hate paying day one price for a game and I also doubt it'll be released on time.
