Awesome.

This is my favorite genre of fantasy.

I love cyberpunk and/or post-apocalyptic style games.

This miiight be good. I think the visuals definately will be, but the gameplay might not be. I couldn't really get into the Witcher 1 for some reason, I think the combat (maybe his face too, it was pretty annoying).

There definately needs to be more dark futuristic stuff! You can pretty much do anything with the genre (it's a new tech!) and it has nearly limitless scope, yet not many tackle it. Will hopefully turn out good! :D

Man, the first Witcher was amazing! One of the best rpg's on the PC , its up there with Planescape.

Anyways.....Yeah I'm excited about this one too. With the team they have this should be good in both story and gameplay. They haven't announced this for any consoles and I hope it stays that way. I will say that I was kind of disappointed about a new title, (I thought it was a new Witcher) but I can see why they chose to branch out.

But Cyberpunk sounds good, I haven't played a Cyberpunk genre game since HELL on the 3DO back in the day.

There was talk of a new Witcher game coming in the next few years, but the rumours about a sci-fi game go back a fair while. We will see another Witcher game I am sure.

Cyberpunk is really lack luster in today's gaming world and should definitely be found again. Hope CD does an amazing job with it :D!

I'm still not sure what it is about it, I liked the second one. It's just something about that game that didn't exactly make me want to play it... It's not a bad game, it just didn't work for me (maybe the opening is just bad). Maybe I should retry playing it, and it was just my mood that day or something. :D

Bioware died a while ago? Mass Effect isn't really an RPG, it's a corridor shooter with some brainless dating game tagged on. :D

To be fair ME 1 and 2 were quality games , 3 is where it took a nose dive into "EA takes over" territory. Everyone loves to slam Bio-Ware but they did release some good games before big daddy came in with his boom stick to ruin things.

Back on topic, Cyberpunk 2077 sounds fantastic. I love Cyberpunk culture , have read lots of great sci-fi books about the topic and personally can't wait to see what the Witch dev's can do with this genre.

I'm glad to hear this. Somehow cyberpunk-themed games seems to be rare.

Yeah maybe retry it, the first of the game is kind of slow going though.

Cyberpunk doesn't do a single thing for me... but it's CD Project RED! Such a conflict of interests. I'm sure I'll end up owning it.

As long as the combat is un-Witcher-like, looks promising.

combat is awesome in witcher, a lot of people have trouble though and thats because theyre probably not very good at it. but thats what QUES is for. atleast i think its ques haha been awhile since i played

It'll probably be closer to Witcher 2 (real time) combat rather than Witcher 1 (click-click-click combo).

Here's a recent article:

https://translate.google.com/transl...szego-wiedzmina-rozmawiamy-z-wspoltworca.html

Synopsis here: http://www.tweaktown.com/news/56696/cd-projekt-red-cyberpunk-2077-huge-success/index.html
Do we have a release window for Cyberpunk 2077? Not just yet, but Kiciński teased that CDPR is ramping up to announce a release date in the near future - with a "short" (6 month) "intensive marketing campaign" on Cyberpunk 2077. Kiciński said: "Ha ha ha... I know as much as any other person, so I just patiently wait. However, Adam has clearly stated during one of the conferences, that the period between the release date announcement and the launch itself may be very short. Creating a short - lets say 6 month - but intensive marketing campaign is a hard to achieve ideal. Only well respected companies that have appropriate financial resources can pull it off. It's sort of a communication blitzkrieg. You have to be well prepared, but you can win a lot".
