Yeah, they clearly cut a lot of ideas they had in order to ship the game. I don't feel this is an issue for me, there is more than enough content with what they shipped.
Also, this happens with pretty much any game, except CDPR has been promoting it for years and sharing development details normally not public for other games.
So I think the main problem was managing people's expectations, they just set the bar too high with all the aspirational features that didn't make the cut.
But what *is* there is amazing. People should go in with an open mind and not expect anything in particular, and stop comparing it to GTA or The Witcher or whatever, and enjoy the game on its own.
