Hmmm. I had DLSS set to AUTO which I think caused some "floaty" textures. Might give quality a shot and see if the performance still holds up.Game seems to run well enough with the medium raytracing preset on my 2080ti @ 4k and DLSS set to quality. I loose raytraced reflections, but i'd have to drop DLSS to balanced in order to regain enough FPS to run the reflections. The reflections in some areas are really nice, but i've found in most areas the baked reflections/shaders do the job well enough. DLSS balanced looks OK given how much performance you gain, but I just can't deal with loosing the sharpness.
Overall the game runs better than expected. Just wish I could get a 3080. A 3080 with DLSS set to quality could run the game @ 4k with everything enabled easily if my 2080ti can do the raytracing medium preset.
The performance difference at 4k between DLSS quality and balanced is pretty massive. It's not a huge drop in fidelity, but it's enough that I don't like it. The performance hit of raytraced reflections is huge in some areas, and honestly I just don't think it's worth it, and you're better off increasing DLSS quality.Hmmm. Oof, performance at 4k max with dlss - 50fps with a 3090
Just disable the reflections. It's the biggest expense, and the baked in shader effects are done well enough that you won't miss it much.Yep, 3080 here, mix of medium and high settings, 4k dlss, and still seeing areas at 45ish fps and drips to 30.
Rt is gorgeous, but thinking I'm going to have to do without. Not worth sacrificing 60fps.
Yeah, I turned off motion blur, and both of those. They honestly just make the game look like shit.Turn off Chromatic Aberration for a boost to sharpness.
There's also film grain, which I actually tend to like in games. but turning that off should improve sharpness on distance objects, as well.
I bet Caitlin Jenner's a big fan of this game!Yeah mate, that's densewho thought of that? View attachment 307427
Very good to hear.My 1080ti is doing very well at 1440p so far. Everything turned up except RT or DLSS obviously. Will be interesting to see the difference of the incoming 3090.
You want to use hdrpq in pretty much every instance. Scrgb is just wide gamut. HDRPQ supports a wider range up to 10k nit brightness.Impressed so far. Just learning the ropes. HDR PQ vs scRGB... I'm assuming I go RGB since I'm on a computer monitor. I wish this game had a benchmark.

What processor are you using?Oof, performance at 4k max with dlss - 50fps with a 3090
I don't get it either. Why would I watch someone else play a game if I was going to play it? If I was not going to play it (maybe because it is not my cup of tea or blatantly sucks) why would I watch it?I must be old.
The shit is 'special events'?
Is that like DJ crap? Or idiots talking constantly on the front page?
3900xWhat processor are you using?
I'm getting drops into the 40s with DLSS (Quality) and a 3090 with everything cranked to the max on 1440p.
Digital Foundry is saying the same thingThe game looks better than the trailers,
That is classic CPU Bottlenecking. Turn down CPU-heavy effects.Anyone else noticing their not maxing their GPU.
I'm spending a lot of time (especially outdoors), sitting at 45ish fps, but 70-75% GPU utilization. 3080 + 2700. I can't imagine my cpu being a bottleneck at 4K.
Edit: Seems to be related to DLSS somehow. As I cycle through the modes from quality to performance, my fps stays the same, my GPU utilization drops.
I don't mind him at all even if he's a bit too PG for me but this stuff is annoying as shit for immersion. And before anyone mentions it I'm aware that Keanu is in the game but he's an actor which is a much easier pill to swallow. Why the fuck is that cringey idiot CohhhCarnage an NPC in this game.
I have a 2950x and dumped everything to the lowest quality settings, and only get 70ish fps. What else is there to do to get better FPS?That is classic CPU Bottlenecking. Turn down CPU-heavy effects.
