Hi there,
I replaced the batteries in my PR1500ELCD with two genuine new YUASA NP18-12B 12V 17.2Ah batteries.

The UPS seems to be working well, so I decided to run the battery calibration test.

However, after 30 minutes of calibration with a 350W load, the UPS shut down abruptly, even though it was showing 58% remaining charge.

Is this normal? Can I consider the battery calibration successful?

As far as I know, the UPS shouldn't shut down during a battery calibration.

Ok, I figured out why I had that issue.
A few years ago, I set this option on the UPS:

That’s why the battery calibration stopped exactly after 30 minutes.

I disabled the "Uptime on Battery" feature and re-ran the battery calibration and now it worked perfectly.

The calibration test fully discharged the battery down to 0%, but the load wasn’t abruptly disconnected.
With the same load (300–320W), the battery lasted 47 minutes.

All good, problem solved.
