I am not stupid enough to pay big bucks for having gourmet coffee brewed for me, mainly because I work from home and it would require me to put pants on and drive for miles to accomplish that every morning, but I do know that some of you cherish your barista and the roasted bean goodness they impart on you. Dunkin' Donuts has assuredly had its sights set on taking some of Starbucks' business, and today it one-ups the King of Coffee. (Or I guess that would be the Person that Wears a Crown of Coffee in today's environment? I am so confused.) Anyway.....if you start using DD Perks mobile app, and order your coffee ahead of time, Dunkin' Donuts will have it ready and waiting in the drive-thru. And the best thing is you get to "merge straight into the line for the pick-up window," in front of all those folks already waiting there. I got a crisp $100 Dunkin' Donuts prepaid card for the first person to continually pre-order and drive in a circle around the establishment cutting in line over and over again with a big "[H]" on the side of their car. Video for proof. Worth noting the On-to-Go lane is only available right now at the Dunkin' Donuts at 588 Washington Street in Quincy, Massachusetts. You can already use the DD Perks app to skip the line in the store. Thanks scojer.

    Check out the video.

Next on Youtube, "DD Perks Street Fights."

So you are not only too lazy to get up and go out for a coffee, but also too lazy to learn how to make gourmet coffee at home. That is pretty much what I got from this. :D

But if it comes to the DD close to my place, I would totally take you up on that offer as the DD is on my way to work anyway .

I never said that. I said I was not stupid enough to pay to have it brewed for me. ;)

The one next to where I live and right on my way to work does not have a drive through, but it does have a handicap spot that people love to park in because "they're just going to be there for a second".

Send me the dunkin' card and the [H] decal. I'll get this done for you and probably get away with it because I can just say the [H] is for handicapped. :woot:

Giant bag of coffee from Sams.... $15... good for 3 months of daily coffee

I have a $20ish french press that makes a perfect 3 cups (or 2 big car cups). No filters to buy, just dump and rinse. Throw it in the dishwasher once a week. The only drag is they don't make one with a timer so my coffee would be ready when I get up.

I don't get people who go out for coffee all the time, unless you're on the road a ton. Even at DD it racks up real quick.

I mean even if you have to have Starbucks coffee, you can buy the giant bags of it at Sams.

Then again I'm "frugal" (cough *cheap* cough). Dollar bills saved on not buying coffee at stores is more money for computer upgrades. Or bills.

I can't figure out if DD corporate picked that location because it gets a lot of traffic, because it gets next to no traffic, or because it's the only one in Quincy that has a drive-thru. :/ I worked in Quincy for 15 years and IMO if they wanted to do a proper test they should have renovated one of the Dunks near Whitey Bulger's Graveyard (AKA: Neponset River Bridge) where there's a lot more people that'd use the service. That or the one on Morrissey Blvd in Doorchestah. :D Especially in Dorchester you'd see people getting dragged out of their cars and beaten if they tried to cut in line. :D
