I play and have part ownership of a server in the UK (I donate about $200-300 a month), I live just outside of Boston. My ping has gone from 80-100 to 200+ all because of Tiscalli. In the UK Tiscalli is known for bandwidth throttling on its users.

I have a 15/2 Meg connection Through Verizon is there a way I can be routed around these jerks? :(

Why do you think it's Tiscali/what makes you so sure? If you use Verizon then surely another ISP simply doesn't come into the equation, or am I missing something?

Get rid of Tiscali, good god they're generally considered to be the worst ISP of all time.

Just hilighting your own answer... Someone on Tiscalli MAY have bandwidth throttling, noone else will

Tiscalli do not have their own inferstructure for BB, they go via the BT exchanges from their they then manage connections of THEIR customers ONLY! they have no way of interfering with anyone else

EVEN if soem of yr packets were routed via an exchange that Tiscalli uses, it is still a BT exchange

The problem in this case has nothing to do with ISP

Thanks, alot of times when I have had problems E-mailing system admins had worked like when my connection went from Boston to NY, then to Sunnyvale California and Back. I Mailed Verio and problems got cleared.

Actually Tiscali have their own LLU network which is accessable to users depending on what exchange you're connected through. It's sold wholesale and so any company who offers services which include connectivity to the internet may be using that network (in the UK)
