So I have kept up almost ZERO with any mobile computing.
I just literally recycled my last laptop, which was 8 years old and had sat under my bed unused for the past 3 years. It couldn't even play my GoPro videos it was so outdated.
My desktop is a AMD FX 8 core rig, GTX 770, mid level gaming PC. I don't need bleeding edge stuff for the games I play, but I also want something that I can keep using for a few years. I will be editing GoPro videos on this. Battery life isn't a huge issue either, I will always be close to a wall.
I don't really want to spend much over $1200, but I will if needed. I also don't want anything over 15.6inchs screen wise.
Anyone have any preferences for laptops that fit this bill? Brand recommendations? Things to avoid?
