I've just loaded Vista Ultimate 64 bit on my PC from XP64. So I've been going through all my games and apps to see how they behave in the new OS.

My problem is in Crysis and Crysis Warhead, for some reason neither will detect my monitor's native resolution (1680x1050) with the in game display settings. Closest it offers is 1600x1200 and 1600x900 I can play it at 1600x1200 but of course everything comes across a bit squished.

Any ideas what might be causing this problem?

Thanks!

Not sure, but I know of a possible solution for NVIDIA cards.

Go into your NV control panel, go to manage custom resolutions, and create a 1680x1050 resolution.

there is a small scroll bar on the right of the box where you choose your resolution. its hard to see but its there. just scroll down and you will see your res.

D'oh! I had tried scroll wheeling the menu but I never noticed the little square to click and drag. 1 after 1600x1200 was 1680x1050.

I'll go hide in a corner now. :p

lol don't worry about it. I was so frustrated by that I actually edited the game registry to show 1920x1200 because I didn't see the box either :D

Finally one day I was like WTF this game cant be that retarded and BAM i see the little box LOL
