Anyone else think it would be hilarious to see NV release a 9800 series card? lol Since ATI has already released one I'm not sure NV will use "9800" for their next line up.
They might just call it the 9900, or maybe change the naming scheme altogether.. Ati has already used 9000, 9200, 9500, 9600, 9700, and 9800... The Ati 9800pro was a great card for it's day, but it might already be forgotten by average Joe consumer.. So Nv could, I suppose, re-use those numbers in a product name without causing too much confusion..

That game looks seriously sweet, I'm thinking it will prolly play OK on my 1900xt 512 at med settings, if not then I will suffer on low settings, til my next big upgrade..

Let us all join hands and pray for a miracle, penryn to be released before Crysis hits. Either that or the current quads can come close to it at same clocks.

I will bake a cake for Intel if they release Penryn before Crysis and a cake for Nvidia if they release their next series, Nvidia seems to be not doing anything without much competition from ATI, but I have a feeling about Penryn!

*Both cakes will consist of the companies logos if they release any of their nex gen products before Crysis is released. Intels will be vanilla and Nvidias chocolate if either perform these tasks

Pics will be posted and cakes will be eaten!

ATI also had 8500s and NVIDIA launched 8500 too. The suffixes make the difference (besides GeForce vs Radeon of course). 9800 GTX != 9800 XT/Pro; 9800 GTS |= 9800 XT/Pro. Just like 8500 GT != 8500 (whatever its suffix was).
But even so, I think it's more likely that NVIDIA uses 9900 GTX instead of 9800 GTX.
