Going into a new build with a Gigabyte P67 board. The RAID setup would only be $8 more. I know TRIM wouldn't work, but GC would keep them tidy. I don't really see any other con to go with the 64GB drives, or is there? Thanks.

Why not just go for the single 128? Less space used in your case, less configuration required, and you get to keep TRIM.

Plenty of space in the case, configuration should be simple enough, not sure about TRIM though - that might be worth keeping. Boot up time may be a little slower for the RAID to startup, but wouldn't Windows performance be better? Benchmarks would be better anyway, not so sure about real world performance.

go with the raid. managing the intel raid is pretty simple, the performance is good, and you'll learn some stuff.
