I had Steam loaded today and I went down the list of my games to see if anyone still plays them. Steam publisher player numbers and the number of players is tracked at this site.

I looked at several games that are what I can only call platformers and I was blown away by how much of a flop many were on PCs. Many games that are half way decent only had a few dozen average players the month the game launched and quickly faded into obscurity the following months. Most of these are cross platform games. I hope they didn't bomb that badly on console.
