they are both 3v li ion batteries and the only diff is the 2032 is 3.2mm high and the 2025 is 2.5mm high.

both are the same diameter though (20mm)

the one thats in the board right now is the 2032 (everyones got one)

can i use the 2025 in my board?

If it snaps in place, and all contacts are made it will work. Some boards don't like the higher battery tho and the side contact won't allow it to "snap" and hold tight.

well i went out and bought a replacement 2032 Cmos battery but im not sure if i need to replace it or not.

is it supposed to read 3.3 or 3.0? cause bios says 3.315

if i want to test it, do i take it out or can i test it in the mobo?

what should the voltage read?

and also, by leaving the computer on, does it somewhat charge the 3v bios battery? cause after leaving it on for a bit, i can shut it down for a few hours even and start it back up

Does your bios lose its settings after the computer has been off for a while? If not then you probably don't need to replace your battery.

it doesnt loose its settings but its a pain in the ass to cold boot it.

i gotta cycle the power a few times and a few resets then it will work.

but once its been on for a while, i can reset it and cold boot it no problem. figure that one out
