I like to play @ team-pure.com ~ Arms Race server.
They ban hackers w/out hesitation & run bots on [H]ARD when it's slow...

Start game > click PLAY > click BROWSE COMMUNITY SERVERS >
click the FAVORITES tab at the top > click the ADD A SERVER button at the bottom >
paste this # into the empty field & then click the ADD THIS ADDRESS TO FAVORITES

Then double-click the line PURE CS:GO ARMS RACE SERVER in the game browser.

Is there a way to make names always show on top of people? Instead of me having to be staring directly at them?

IDK, I want that too... looks like there is an updated matchmaking que for competitive game mode vs. playing on clan servers - then it's just BOTS or 3-6 giant games with so many players - even if you had name-tags over-head it's hard to keep friends in a squad in the game.
