Bought mine last night, but found out that it is $499.99 today though the 27th + Free Shipping. There are some $25 off $250 coupons out there that may be able to save you more. Lowest price I have seen on this monitor thus far and of course Costco has a great return policy.

Man I really want to buy one of those but they are not VESA mounted which sucks, but I guess I could keep that one on the desk and put one above it of cheaper style,

I would have to open my boxes, but the internet and my memory both say there is a vesa mount adapter included.

it was 449 a while back. I was about to get one but I saw that alot of sites removed the product after people complained about power issue. Got the lg 32 inch 3k freesync for 439.99. Loving it.

FTBxo
Says 27", but came with my 32" so it must be interchangeable

any idea what type of panel this is?

VA. It's in the first paragraph of the first review link.

This sounds like a pretty awesome monitor based on those reviews. Sadly I have no need for it, but if I hadn't moved on to 4K I'd be extremely tempted.

I just bought this monitor from Costco about a month ago. It is freakin' legit. I'm insanely picky about monitors and this thing knocks it out of the park. Blacks are blaaaaaaack. The contrast is great and the motion clarity rocks. Just played through Wolfenstein 2 at 100-180 FPS and it looked great. Haven't had a chance to play an HDR game to see how well that does but playing Elite Dangerous and staring at a pitch black space is great.

I may try to pick one up and see how I like it compared to the U3415W. I hate to lose the real estate, but would love some extra hertz...

Lol, that's exactly what I came from. Tried four or five different monitors over the two years I owned it and sent them all back. I knew it was a goner within 2 minutes of looking at this Samsung.

The 27 and 32 are not the same panel type. Definitely get the 32 but consider the footprint on your desk. I really like the stand but you need some real estate for it.

I think the ultra wide is the superior format, subjective of course. But what did it in for me is games not supporting it during cutscenes. Some games bounce in and out of pre-rendered visuals and in-engine visuals during one scene. Having the letterbars pop up on the sides really kills immersion for me.

But in game it is so good.

The size of this Samsung's stand brings it much closer to me than my U3415W ever was and with a more aggressive curve I don't miss the ultrawide loss at all.

No real light bleed either. :)

HDR in Windows 10 desktop works without issue, but requires some calibration to get looking right that I don't want to deal with. And I'm not sure what the point is, what would be HDR about your desktop? Leaving it disabled does not mean HDR games won't work.

I don't want to over hype it, but it's pretty much the holy Grail of gaming monitors to me right now. I think I'm ripping off one of the reviews titles.

Costco is very easy to return to if you don't like, if you have one near you. No idea about online.

I have not actually played an HDR game yet, I need to play Resident Evil 7 again to compare to my TV. The monitor technically does not conform to any HDR spec because total brightness is Max of 600nits and HDR requires 1000nits. But hot damn if QLED isn't legit anyways, at least in this iteration.
