I just recieved 2 512mb sticks of Value select ram from Newegg.
VS512SDS333 Pc2700.
I put the ram in my laptop Gateway M505X and I boot into windows and
run cpuz version 1.24.
The program says I have pc2100 ddr part# VS512SDS266
The sticker on the ram part# VS512SDS333

Am I going to see that much of a difference concidering it's a laptop and I can't O/C it anyway?

It did have 512mb of Micron PC2700.

Any opinions are welcomed

Are you running the ram at 166FSB? Check bios.

It doesn't say what the bus speed is.

I'm not too sure, but it probably doesn't matter all that much since the fsb is only running a 100mhz.

I could be wrong??
