Projected specs:
Core i7 920 - will overclock
MSI X58A motherboard
patriot 6GB ddr3 1333 (7-7-7-20)
WD Caviar Black 1TB (only one)
2 Optical Drives
Antec 300

Current Video Card: 8800GTS G92

I will upgrade the gpu when the next generation of parts comes out. It is reasonable that the power consumption of the "gtx 380" will not exceed that of the gtx295 - so I think any of these psus will be sufficient.

Thoughts?

I'd go for the Corsair 620HX since it's only $130:
$130 - Corsair 620HX 620W Modular PSU

you don't think this will handicap my ability to run a top end card of the next generation and keep the power to < 60% of the rated capacity of the 620hx?

I just got the mx680 from Dell for $140.80 shipped. So far it's great. Only complaint I have is that the power cables are TOO long in my opinion. I have tons of excess in my antec 300.

You can get the MX-680 for $119 these days:
$118 - BFG Tech MX 680 680W Modular PSU
