Corsair HS70 Wireless Headset Review

If you are a gamer, which we know most HardOCP readers are, a good headset is likely your lifeline in any online game when it comes to communicating with your teammates or even your adversaries. We have been using Corsair's new HS70 for a month now and wanted to share our experiences with this $100 offering.

UPDATE: I gave these to my 17 year old son, the day I published the review. His old pair was a Corsair Raptor wired. He loves the HS70 and has no comfort issues and says he likes the sound over the old Raptors. So there you go, if they fit you well, these can rock.

Honestly, I've been looking for a replacement for my Logitech G930's for a little while now. I've had these for almost 6 years. 2 sets of ear pads and they are still going strong, but the battery is starting to get weak.

That being said I do like the way the G930 cans swivel and articulate. I can place these on my head any way and they are comfortable. And like your Void Pro's the mic swings up to mute.

I guess what I'm getting at is do a review of the Void Pro's. :)

I think I just pretty much wrong a Void Pro review....LOL. I have been happy with mine. I bought two more pairs for the kids when Corsair did the Memorial Day refurb sale.

Great review, Kyle. As much as I love Corsair's other products, I've had bad luck with their headsets due to durability issues. After my third H2100 broke at the hinge between the cup and the headband that was it for me. I'll stick with my Steel Series Arctic 7's. From the review it seems these new headset's seem more durable, but time will tell.

Too bad they (HS70's) aren't very comfortable. I use my wireless headsets with my Vive, and they really need to be non intrusive when I'm in VR.

I'm still using my old USB Corsair HS1 that I got in February 2011. Hope it continues to hold up :)

I'm using a Corsair Vengeance 2000 headset I bought back in 2012. It's recently started cutting in and out a bit so I'm looking to replace it. I am happy with the run I had with this headset though. Battery is still decent and it was comfortable and durable. A Void Pro might be what I replace it with by the sounds of it.

Been toying with the idea of these. I wear glasses sometimes and the void pro digs into my frames a after a few hours.
I'm hoping these won't but even then the battery life seems amazing.

I have had the first and second gen wired Corsair headsets and now a Void Pro. They were all about the same as far as being comfortable with wearing glasses and such.
The first two definitely had software issues a lot where you basically had to have the volume in windows so low otherwise it blew your ears out. Which didnt really leave a lot of room to tweak your sound, the void pros are a bit better, but I am still almost always between 5-25 on the overall volume level.

And even though the micro fiber gets dirty, I feel like that holds up way better then the plastic/leather junk everyone uses. It looks great at first, but never lasts for me.
