Forget this thing, get a Noctua or a good Zalman air.

Not if you want to combine it with some good memory like the Corsair Vengeance. I learned the hard way cause I got a Noctua NH-D14 for a 2600K and combined with 16G of Corsair Vengeance...FAIL!

Does this cooler require a backplate on the mobo to install?

There are pin holder mechanisms that must be put into the back of the board....no plate though.

How would I install this into a Silverstone FT01? Where would the radiator go?

"The Corsair Hydro Series H70 High Performance CPU Cooler is a top performing all-in-one liquid cooling system"

    what does "all-in-one" mean?
does the h70 include cooling video card + cpu?
are there cooling kits that are really "ALL IN ONE" that cools video card + cpu?

Fans Corsair gives are crap. Get better 120mm fans and decent air flow with fans.

What degrades in this coolars that end up their life? Is H70 Idle for those who plan to keep their PCs for 5-6 yr?

Can you recommend one with high CFM Airflow that is also quite?
With all the marketing it's really difficult to believe.

I am currently using two Noiseblocker NB-Multiframe fans in a push/pull configuration with my H70 setup. They're 120mm case fans running at 1,800RPM and pushing 73CFM at 27dBA.

The fans are whipser quiet, and my idle/load temps (as well as noise level) are very good compared to the stock fans that come with the H70. Overall, I am very pleased with my Noiseblocker fans and would highly recommend them.

I just picked up the H70 and couldn't be happier with the performance/sound, although my first pump was defective. I was using the stock amd cooler on my 555 unlocked, temps were 45c idle, and 62c load. Now with the H70 I'm getting 27c idle, and 38c full load, and this is with the 555 unlocked to X4 @ 3.6 w/1.31V. Prime stable. Going to push for the 4.0 but time is my enemy.

To bad my case has no 120mm fan slots. This looks like a perfect middle ground to silence and overclocking.

I'm using the H70 with 2 CM Excalibur fans and its doing a fantastic job keeping my CPU cool.

Using Gentle Typhoon AP-15's. Freakin' stock fans are loud as hell. It is a great cooler, and fits in tight areas where larger air coolers can not.

What are some temps people are getting with oc'd sandybridges @ 100% load? I'm wondering if one of these would be a good step up from a 212 +

Good review, I wonder how much hotter my motherboard would be running without the cpu cooler blowing down onto it

    I have an OCed 2500k 4.4ghz 1.26v.
Using real temp and Prime95 running for an hour I never saw temps over 65c. Idle temsp are around 31-33c. I am using an included resistor for the H70, plugged into the cpu fan header and in the recommended push pull as intake.

Only complaint is it is still noisy with resistor, planning on replacing with gentle typhoons though.

For those concerned with drawing air in from the back of the case, just do like I did and make your side fan an exhaust... works great for me...

I posted this same question on the Antec Kuhler thread:
Anyone knows if I can switch the 120mm fan? I'm planning on a m-atx build but the case (thermaltake A30) I'm looking at has some non-regular fans -- two 60mm on rear.

Got a question for you guys; Is it possible or advisable to change the tubing on the H70? I like the simplicity of the all-in-one design but I'd prefer to have clear tubing with red fluid.

I don't believe im in a situation where watercooling is an option i'd think about, however I have been looking into the various kinds of watercooling there is.

The H70 does appeal to me, however I am a man who lieks his asthetics, so the fact it's all in black piping really irritates me, and on top of that apparently the fan noise is something that really is an issue.

I think, like what many people have said here, if they fixed or got rid of the fans in them, and then added maybe clear tubes or just something a little more "pretty", it'd be ideal. I only say this because when people spend say $300 on a Corsair 800D case or the like, i'm sure they want the insides of thier PC to look pretty too, haha.

This is possible, people have done it, but be aware that the reason for the tubing we use is to prevent evaporation. Switching to clear tubing will void your warranty and you'll need to fill the unit as clear tubing has much higher evaporation ratings.

Tell me you didn't use "pretty" to describe a [H]ard "project." Visually pleasing, aesthetic, whatever...just don't bring that {s}oft word "pretty." :D

I have a 2600K overclocked at 4,5 GHz, idle it's around 30°C, but at full load, after a long Prime95 session it reached 69°C, ambient temp around 25°C, should it be considered normal?, I'm not very happy with these temps...

Note I switched fans to 2x Gentle Typhoon running at around 1400 rpm, but orientated inside - out, since my Lian Li keeps it really cold and I don't want dust coming inside.

You're temps sounds about right to me. 25C+43.6= 68.6 and you're getting 69. Don't know what you're complaining about.

Easy. Don't know, maybe some benchmarks I read were just too optimistic... Truth is that after more intensive testing it newer went higher, and after stopping it made a great work taking temps down pretty fast, so I think it's ok.

Well I'm just saying the review you're replying to's data pretty much exactly matches what you've done. There's keeping a 44C delta on a 2600k OCed to 4.5 Ghz isn't exactly easy.

Is it possible to buy longer sections of the stock tubing? For those of us who don't have a 120mm spot and want to have it outside the case?

I am looking into different coolers for my setup in my sig. My office is pretty warm and usually 10-15* hotter than the rest of the house because of the sun during the day. Would I get better overall cooling with one of these than a regular air cooler?

I also leave my comp on 24/7 and it hardly is off. Is there a risk of the liquid evaporating over the years?
