May 26, 2008 #2 S sethk 2[H]4U Joined May 3, 2005 Messages 2,133 It's a chipset issue, not a CPU issue. Look in the manufacturer forums or their website (or user manual if you have it) for max supported RAM. Upgrading the CPU won't help but upgrading to a new notebook that supports more RAM will.
