You guys have to check out Roger Tetzlaff's cool custom skateboard PC build. Now all he needs to do is record a video of him riding it! I snagged these pics from Roger's Facebook page.

Thanks, Steve! :) This is for PAX East 2012, I can give you some more pics here...

Last Year's PAX East build was the Penny Aracade character, DIV:

And PAX East 2010 was an antique radio PC build:

This is pretty cool looking (also I like the Div PC!), but I'm wondering, can you actually ride it? I mean first off, is it strong enough to stand on, and then is there any kind of shock damping for the computer inside? It would be cool to ride this to a LAN event and then use it for gaming when you get there.

Those are really awesome...someone said it in another thread but its times like these I wish I had any artistic ability at all.

I quite like the idea, and it looks like you;ve made a top quality job of constructing it. But if I were making a skateboard I would have made body of it as thin as possible. With the components you have it looks like there's no reason that the thing needed to be more than about 50mm thick, but you've made it more like 100!

Very nice. Love to see this kind of personal/hobby creativity being applied to tech stuff. Looks great!

Thanks for the kind words... I wanted to say, 1) It doesn't look anything like a toilet, and if you think pic 6 looks like a toilet/urinal, maybe you just have to go? :) and 2) It can't hold a large amount of weight. It's just 1/2 inch pine board with poly glue and brads holding it together. It does roll very well, however. :)

I won the casemod judging this year against a few other really cool mods, including a custom mineral oil rig with 17 gallons of fluid, a pixelated Link made from wooden cubes, and a telephone booth PC. 180GB Intel 520 SSD! :D
