People are upset at Twitter again: this time, the company reportedly banned a bot that was fighting “Nazi trolls.” The bot, which reporter Yair Rozenberg decided to build after being harassed, unmasked “impersonator accounts” until it was eventually shut down by Twitter.

The Nazis realized they couldn’t beat the bot, so they started mass-reporting it to Twitter for “harassment.” Just as they duplicitously cast themselves as minorities, they disingenuously recast our response to their ongoing abuse as harassment. Twitter sided with the Nazis.

Get a fucking life, grow the fuck up, accept that there are people out there that don't think exactly like you do. And if you don't like what they say....walk away! Grown ups do it all the time.

Nazi's? I had no idea the NSDAP used Twitter (and thus the internet) in the 1930's and 1940's.
I must have skipped that chapter in literally every single history book I ever read that involved Hitler and the 3rd Reich.

The reality is, leftists call anyone who disagrees with their opinion "Nazis", to the point that sadly, the effect of the term has lost all meaning, much like "racist" has, and thanks to people like Gloria Allred and Lisa Bloom, so will rape and sexual misconduct allegations.

The damn shame of it all is that because leftists use such terms to either try to win pissing contests or destroy political rivals, it takes the spotlight away from ACTUAL cases of racism, sexual misconduct, and the like. When everyone you don't like is a "racist, sexist, -aphobe", eventually "no one" is, as people start to tune out the noise due to over-saturation, and people who are really affected by these things (instead of thin-skinned people with a mental disorder who don't understand the concept of "agree to disagree") are left hung out to dry.
 
Twitter hasn't upheld Trump's ban from twitter either, so this doesn't really surprise me.

Unfortunately the term Nazi is used far too loosely by too many people. I'm 31 now, I turned 18 in 2004 just before George Bush's 2nd term and my 1st chance to legally vote.
Back then, Bush was called a Nazi, and then ironically enough Obama was called a Nazi, and now Trump or anyone else who doesn't vote Democrat is a Nazi.

I might have to google that. I recall Bush being called Hitler and Obama being called the Anti-Christ. Also, I think Trump is terrible at being literally Hitler. I'm not convinced he's committed to being literally Hitler, he really seems more suited for as literally Manuel Noriega

I wonder if at some point, things will get to a place where folks consider it a badge of honor to get called a nazi and folks will try to bait others in an argument to get called a Nazi.

IF you look at the antics on the left it is clear who the neo-nazi are. I was waiting for the media to put video of BLM or ANTIFA up side by side of film of kristallnacht. That would have proven what they are. THEY are the nazis, they want centralize government control under a socialist order. That is what the Nazis were (National Socialists)

It's almost as if they are either so lacking in intelligence that they do not know from whence their political beliefs spring, or they are purposely trying to distance themselves from their own past.

Far more are good than actually corrupt. Worst case, go to the media and social media. The corrupt authorities are very much concerned about their public image, and the media loves a good slander story.

We already have laws governing harassment, prohibited speech (yelling fire in movie theater for instance), and intent to cause mental and physical harm. Let these laws work as intended instead of outlawing speech just because they offend people.

In any case, educating people to think for themselves from an early age will undermine these groups far more than actively trying to suppress them would.

Maybe, just maybe... extreme left and right reach around the back and become the same thing? Extremists.

Oh, and don't take "National Socialism" too literally. It is quite clear that the original Nazis were the extreme right and the term "Socialism" was anything, but the standard definition of "International Socialism".

It's much like how both USA Republican and USA Democratic party actually mean "Crony Capitalism".

Or maybe there is another dimension to politics people often ignore. Authoritarian vs libertarian. Hitler was mostly centrist but heavily authoritarian. China's communism is heavy left wing authoritarian. Trump is heavy authoritarian, right leaning but not in the right wing. Anarchists are the extreme of libertarianism. The current Republican party is attempting to be right wing libertarian but in actuality are more authoritarian. Democratic party is straight up left wing authoritarian.

You're called either a nazi or a Russian troll/bot. That seems to be the go-to insults these days to shut down a debate instead of actually, well, debating. Calling someone a racist has lost its potency due to overuse, so they had to find another term which allows them to pretend they are too good to debate you.

In the 20s and 30s, the leftists (including the democrats in America (the party of Ku Klux Klan, later Jim Crow, earlier Secessionism and Slavery), were in love with Mussolini and the fascists. As well, "Uncle Joe" was the beloved leader of the newly formed Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. FDR was effusive in his praise of Uncle Joe and Mussolini. Hitler, and the Nazis, was an outgrowth of those left-wing ideologies. The communists, by self-definition, were the left-most ideology. They hated the fascists and the national socialists and called them "right wing fascists". Meaning, the "right-wing" of the leftist revolution. Those ideologies were and are far, far to the left of capitalism or any other democratic institution.

All of them were merely stops along the spectrum of totalitarianism. The greater good outweighs the individual.

They only differed in who got to be in the elite group which allocated resources and determined what the greater good was.

Every one of those political belief systems, communism, national socialism, and fascism were and are just facets of socialism and totalitarianism. Much like religious splinter groups, they hate those who are closest to them more than they hate others. Nazis abhorred capitalists, religion, and individual freedom. Just like socialists. "National Workers Socialist Democratic Party": sounds like something the democrats in the US would get behind, no? NASDP is Nazi. They hated that term almost as much as they hated homosexuals. But that gets into the purge of the Brown Shirts.

If you really think there is a crucial difference between communists, socialists, fascists, and you think one of them is a right-wing party, you need to unplug yourself from the programming to which you've been subject and start educating yourself.

The worship which was heaped upon Stalin and Mussolini by FDR and those around him and in his administration should be enough to get you on the road to freedom. Unplug yourself from the matrix.

Crony Capitalism is corruption. Pure and simple. Punish them all.
 
The national socialist party of the 30's and 40's was no joke. But the so called neo nazis of today are fucking laughable. There was a small "outbreak" in the 90's in Sweden when it was cool to be a neo nazi. But seriously, I haven't seen a real nazi in all my life. there were a few demonstrating in Gothenburg a while back and that was a pathetic display of gene pool regression. We do not need nazi hunters because every single one of them are probably dead by now.

Except when the media is in league with the corrupt authorities. The media will cover up whatever they can in order to try to keep their people in power.

Social media. Also, the media is not one unified group, it is a bunch of groups that are constantly at each other's throats for viewers and ratings. You overestimate how far conspiracies can go before someone takes notice, slips up due to carelessness/boasting, or turns traitor for personal gain.

Yes, information control can and does work. However, it only works in highly controlled societies like China and North Korea, where social media access is extremely restricted to prevent easy disemmination of information. That does not exist in the US and most other Western countries. Here we have the exact opposite concern: bad information spreading like wildfire due to social media.
