Comp crashed and secondary hard drive gone

My computer crashed and once l rebooted my secondary hard drive is gone. Device manager says it's working fine and I tried uninstalling and rebooting it, windows XP Pro detected it and again says it is working fine, yet there are no signs of it in windows explorer. Anyone know what could be wrong and how to fix it?
 
It takes 5 seconds or so and says "Connecting to logical disk management service..." and then it loads and shows no sign of the hard drive. :( The logical disk manager service is started too.
 
Try reseating the data cables and the power cables. If not, you might have a dead drive. You can always download the diag utility from the drive maker's site.
