CnC 3 Patch 1.03 out

I only wish Westwood was still developing it, it might actually work on my computer instead of getting stuck at the splash screen.
 
ya I know its ea now but at the rate there releasing patches youd think it was westwood.

them cruiser? and walkinig tripod things are no match for good strats and micro.

i won 1v1 gdi vs scrin 2-0 so far.

kept harassing his harvestor and then orca or firehawks with some tanks for the win. the dude thought he had me with his super weapon, until i took out his rift reactor at the 15 sec mark.

but im not gonna lie, them cruiser and tripod are pretty damn strong.

This patch for Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars fixes several bugs and exploits:

EXPLOITS

--Scrin Mastermind's Teleport Units ability maximum range reduced.

--GDI Engineers, Nod Saboteurs, and Scrin Assimilators can no longer capture structures when under the effects of the Scrin's Phase Field support power.

OPTIMIZATIONS

--Improved video playback on low-end system configurations.

BALANCE CHANGES

--Scrin Storm Column cost / build time increased to 3,000 credits / 30 seconds.

--Scrin Buzzer health reduced to 75 and weapon damage type changed to SNIPER.

BUG FIXES


--Fixed an error that would occasionally result in a crash in Nod vs. Nod matches on the multiplayer map Deadly Sertao.

--Fixed issues with automated map transfer feature in multiplayer.

--Fixed an error that would sometimes cause a Commentator's telestrator drawings to not erase as intended while viewing BattleCast replays.

--Fixed issues with replay file playback.

--Fixed placeholder text and chat log errors with the Comrade in-game chat window.

OTHER CHANGES


--Fixed an error in README.txt file regarding location of saved game files in Windows Vista; added references to EA Link version of the game; added disclosure about in-game advertising
(Note: the EA Link version of the game ships with this updated ReadMe file).

--References to Nod's "Avatar Warmech" unit have been changed to "Avatar".
 
It'll take a lot more than a couple of bug fixes for EA to completely redeem themselves.

Can't please them all. The general consensus around the video game forums I frequent is that they raised the bar in production quality on this release and I have to agree.

I have to agree; EA definitely stepped it up a notch with this game, and their resonse to the mulitiplayer issues has been terrific. 3 patches in about a week. 1.03 was released on a sunday..

I have to say that CC3 has been one of the better games I've played in a long time.
 
Maybe EA is turning over a new leaf. The online finally works for me and in less then a week after I bought it.
 
Of course, this also means that the game needed these patches. So while some might praise EA for being quick to patch the game, I still deride EA for releasing a buggy game to begin with that needed three patchs in the first week. Cheers for the Patch Team, boos to the QA Team.

What I don't get is why EA released this buggy, and then manage to fix a massive number of bugs in only a week with 3 full patches. Could they have not waited an extra week THEN released it?

Seriously what gives, I don't get it at all :confused:

But yes I agree with others, this is helping EA redeem themselves a little, enjoyed the first few missions already, looks good, runs great, Everything max 1680 1050 and FPS is always at 30.
 
is this game locked @ 30fps? I don't have Vsync on in CP nor do I have it in game >_> yet it's stuck @ 30 =p
 
thumbs up from me as well, who once spoke ill of EA.

as for balance, i really think everything has been pretty decent so far, perhaps the tripods need slight tuning but other than that pretty nice
 
yes, its locked at 30fps.

I was wondering what the hell was going on, I know my system was old but I had heard the game was pretty easy on older computers. I have brought alot of the settings down from high and still couldnt get above 30.
