Hello Guys.

I am trying to clone a 40 Gb disk with Windows 7 Beta installed and few other things using the Utility that comes with the Seagate disks. But the Cloned 300 Gb partition keeps telling me it has a problem in the MBR and so it won't boot and it won't read.
I haven't tried the AUTO mode which expands the 37.4 Gb onto the actual 465.GB of the 500 GB HDD but do you know if any other tool would serve or do you think it might be the way Windows 7 formats the disk leaving a 12 MB partition outside for system files and such.

If you have managed to do it any comment will be thanked.

Can't windows 7 repair the MBR like vista does?

**Havn't messed with win7 much yet**

Actually what happened is that I cannot even format the drive.
Windows 7 uses a GUI to repair the system, I even tried usen an old 360 2.5"drive with no luck either. Changed it today thinking it might be the cable but now I'm starting to think it might be the onboard SATA controller.
