chromecast errors

so anyways not sure if this is the right thread to put in however here is the background

I have fios and have sony, panasonic, sharp plasmas tvs connected to it on wifi
have ps3, wii u, 360, one, ps4 connected to wifi
have 2 desktops, asus laptop, hp, dell, toshiba laptops connected to wifi
even have roku 1, roku2, wd streamer box, and 4 other bluray players connected all on wifi

however when I try to setup chromecast - no matter the distance, tv, computer or laptop, or smartphone setup - I am always unable to connect to wifi with errors of "wifi not turned on or not connected" - did my research and don't see to find anything

suggestions?

I had issues like that when the Chromecast first came out. It took literally 40 minutes to connect the first time, just doing it over and over.

It magically disconnected from the network a few times, and was doing the same forever time to connect. I was able to get it connect faster by rebooting the router, and then trying to connect with the Chromecast. This worked twice.

I was told it has issues with dualband routers. IIRC it only works on the 2.4ghz frequency. Also, make sure AP isolation is off.

I have one suggestion...

Ask someone to merge your multiple threads.

Thats about the most annoying thing, and is highly frowned upon here.
