Chrome update is hammering my cpu at 99%

I have Version 63.0.3239.108 of chrome, and its trying to update, but its been hammering my cpu at 99% for more than an hour. WTF Google, is anyone else having issues with the latest update?
 
Decided to try the update after seeing this on my super slow i3 work laptop. Went about as normal as any other update.
 
hmmm I have no idea whats going on. If I try to close chrome, and open it back up, it just restarts the update with high cpu usage.

btw this is on my laptop with a mobile i7 4720-hq cpu.
 
its just the miner i installed on your pc. Nothing to see here.
 
Update: Well it finally finished updating, and now my cpu is back to normal usage. Weird, never had that happen before.
 
I had the same thing happen to me last night on a certain site where I get my "Linux ISOs". It was only on that one site, I installed "scriptsafe" and the issue went away. Not a fan of Scriptsafe, but it worked for my testing at least.
