Why doesn't Blizzard just ban the IP's already?

Well, you see there's this technology called 'VPN'. Through the magics of the Internet, you can be in China and it'll appear like your a Canadian logging in eh? IP spoofing, IP re-routing via VPN, IP re-routing via free-networks like Tor, etc etc.

It would take China all of 1 hour to find/install the necessary software.

At first I was appalled to learn that Chinese prisoners are being forced to play WoW in prison. But then, the more I thought about it, playing video games all day sure beats the hell out of hard labor on the chain gang. Thanks to Lethal for the link.

Other articles indicate they had to work on the chain gang during the day and farm gold after that.
