Apparently China is building an army of robot workers that won't need to eat, sleep, take breaks or be paid. Kinda like the workers they have now, except robots. Pretty soon, it will just be robots building robots and there will be no need for humans at all.

After the tour, Wong took me through a PowerPoint presentation that laid out the company’s plan for the next few years, and then the conversation turned to intelligent robotics. “We’re going to use standard robots at first,” Wong said. “But then we’re going to use more advanced ones. More and more, we need to get into more advanced robotics. That can help make a dark factory.”

Great idea, lets replace the largest and (nearly) cheapest workforce in the world, one for which the government has actively limited replication, with a robotic version.

At least America won't be the home of the most disenfranchised worker anymore.

Ever hear about cutting your nose off to spite your face? Yeah. WTF are you going to do with a BILLION of unemployed people? I guess the robots will take care of that cleanup too.

There goes all the jobs.

so when the tied worked building the robot solders the board upside down on every fifth robot and the robot then the robot malfunctions and the robots don't have instructions to know there is the issue of a robot throwing sparks all over the product line, will they just say that it is feature if you clothing has burns all over it and you new back plate is melted plastic because the paint caught on fire?

Robotic arms that let the workers put glass in between them and dangerous chemicals makes sense a robotic army with no one to be able to say something is not quite right here?

China could be seeking a new post work economy. Where the labor/productivity/profit of the robot worker is paid into social funds. Hey, someone has to be the guinea pig.

Did you even proofread before hitting the submit button?

You're post makes no sense unless somebody is going to waste a bunch of time trying to decipher what you are trying to say.

This is a problem because Chinese workers won't work for peanuts anymore. If oil goes past a certain value it won't even make sense to manufacture stuff there and ship it to America anymore. You may actually see a few of these automated factories pop up near you.
