It was a hard thing to say, I grant people that. However, you can't mix those two design concepts without a clash. I sought further opinions. I know an award winning artist and my brother is gay. Both said what was happening was making it worse and that the shiny plexiglass with metal screws and hard edges does not go with the smooth rounded and "satin" finish of the original design. My brother said it looked like Satan vomited. It's like placing a Ferrari front end on the body of a Rolls Royce. Both are great by themselves, but together they look ridiculous. This does cause me pause to say because a lot of hard and meticulous work is going into this. Perhaps the finished product will be OK. I doubt it. Perhaps if the original framing were used to cover over the screws, hmmm.
