Does anyone know if Cherry MX Red or Black is better for gaming? I would think the red since they are on the Corsair keyboards?

Your reasoning is incorrect, but I love my reds for gaming. The lightest touch and I'm jumping, crouching, reloading, whatever.
Is this directed at me or the op?
For typing I love the feel of the mechanical keys vs a membrane, even with the reds, and I'd like to give the browns a shot for typing purposes.
Blues are nice for typing but they're louder and I wasn't crazy about them for gaming.
It's all highly subjective really
I got a K90 a couple weeks ago and I'm not sure I'm in love with the reds for gaming. The actuation force is light and the actuation point not distinct. That sounds nice ("good for quick presses") but in practice I find myself making a lot of incidental key contact, particularly in the WASD cluster... so I'll be running forward and then start drifting to the left because I'm accidentally depressing the S key just from resting my finger on it. For typing I love the feel of the mechanical keys vs a membrane, even with the reds, and I'd like to give the browns a shot for typing purposes.
To further prove this point
I've used a friend's keyboard with reds. Granted, it wasn't an extended period, but I FAR prefer blues for everything, including gaming.

It really is a personal preference thing.
