Cherry MX keyboards and Overtype Mode

I noticed something disturbing ever since I got a Filco with cherry mx browns. My text apps switch to insert mode and I end up overwriting my text. For copy/paste I use Ctrl+Insert & Shift+Insert and it seems the mx Key Rollover generates more than one keystroke.

Any ideas?
