I bought NH-D14 2011 Cooler and I was wondering if changing NF-P14 to NF-A15 PWM and NF-P12 to NF-F12 PWM might give lower temps ? What do you guys think, is it worth it?

Not worth it. Fans are already optimized for the heatsink. Forgot where I read it, but there is a comprehensive test on overclockers.com where fans like the NF-F12 give the same performance or worse.

Not worth it. At the low RPMs those fans run at (~1300 RPM or lower), there isn't enough of a difference between them.

The NF-P12 that c/w the above cooler, why does Noctua use a 12 cm fan on that end but a 14 cm fan on the other? Why not swap the 12 cm w/ the 14 cm? And for that matter, what if some1 swap out the 12 cm to a 14 cm?

I bet the 120 was done on the outside for RAM clearance issues (the 140 would probably hit even regular sized RAM), and the 140 was done due to better noise/airflow ratios. The 140 on the end would probably work if you were using the low profile Samsungs.
