change the Gnome Menu?

Funny, the only think I didn't like about Linux Mint was that menu. Anyhow, you can install it.

1. Find and install mintmenu. (may take a little effort to find)
2. Right-click the default menu and choose to remove.
3. Right-click an empty spot on the panel, and choose "Add to Panel...".
4. Double-click the Mintmenu item.

OK, I got it working.... Though I had a little bit of trouble with Network Manager....

I got the ebuilds from here, and added them to my overlay. One of the patches failed to build, but I just commented that out of the ebuild.....

Network Manager is one of the dependencies, and that doesn't work worth a damn using Gentoo's baselayout. So I used this guide to get Network Manager working properly....

I like it. Much better then the old version. Though it hangs when I click on logout, then I have to do a control-alt-backspace to restart the X server. It also hangs when I click on Gnome Control Center. Otherwise a much better user experience.
