I just formatted and installed windows xp pro on my friends dell pc and when i boot it up it still gives me an option of picking windows xp home or windows xp pro... is there anyways i can remove the windows xp home option since there isn't xp home on his system anymore... ?

Well, if you're sure there's no trace of the Home installation, you can just edit the boot.ini file on the system partition (which is probably C). It's a hidden OS file, so you have to unhide special operating system files or something along those lines. It may also be read-only, so if you can't edit it, then that's the problem. But just open it with any text-editor, and remove the line that has the XP Home text, the whole line.

Right click My Computer > Properties > Advanced tab > "Settings" under Startup & Recovery > Change default operating system

Make sure to set a restore point so you don't fuck anything up.
