ccleaner now ads avast

    just downloaded the free version of ccleaner been using it for yrs now but noticed the check box wants to install avast now wtf ..........bastids i say i use Kaspersky be warned is all

    I don't think there is a single benefit to CCleaner in a modern Windows 10 install.

    Its a free product, they get paid for putting that addon installer there.

    They gotta make money somehow, just pay attention when you install stuff!

    I still use CCleaner occasionally - any negatives to using it in current times?

    Is there a proven positive on a modern Windows 10 system? I'd like to see that data.

    I use it everyday.. Cleans out my Firefox history but saves cookies on sites I use. I also use it to clean junk files on my OS. I wouldn't use Firefox without it.

    Go to the builds page and download the portable version. There's no reason to install it if you don't need the context menu integration.

    I will say this about the company, they make really good products. But they have the paid version listed as the "most popular option" or now "best value". I think that's a little disingenuous on their part.
