Hey guys, my dad got his new place wired up with Cat6 cables. All there's left are strands of copper wires out of the Cat6 cables. He bought this wallplate but from what I've been reading here, it seems like he got the wrong kind - it may be Cat3 jacks instead of Cat5/6. Is that correct?
So, instead he should consider getting these: An inline keystone: http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10519&cs_id=1051903&p_id=6178&seq=1&format=2
and...
http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...cs_id=1051703&p_id=1097&seq=1&format=2&style=
But my dad is looking for a wallplate where it has an ethernet jack and a cable (TV/Internet) jack in one. Any idea where he could get that?
He would have to crimp the cable and he doesn't have any experience in doing that. Can he just get this instead?: http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10513&cs_id=1051309&p_id=5384&seq=1&format=2
The guide for him to put together the keystone and the wiring is here: http://www.monoprice.com/manual/How to - Punchdown keystones.pdf
Is there a clearer wiring diagram for the tool-less keystones?
Thanks!
