Case Fans vs. Rad Fans - what to look for

Since Corsair just announced two series of fans, I was wondering if someone has done a posting on what to look for for each application.

I'm assuming that you won't get "good results" if you use the exact same model fan for case cooling and radiator cooling. True? False?

A fan is a fan.

I use the same 120mm Yate Loons for everything.

For case cooling, you want to look for high airflow optimized fans. In general, this means blades that are smaller, but more of them.

For radiator cooling, you want static pressure optimized fans. This generally means thicker fans with larger blades.
