So my grandfather calls me today from Germany and says that when he tries to send email from Outlook 2003 client, he gets a pop up that says AVG is out of date or something to that nature and I know we removed AVG before installing Norton AV.

I had him go to "Add Remove Programs" and check for something in the list by the name of AVG or Grisift and he said he can't find anything.

Anyone know how I can blow this off his machine or enable his Outlook to not be scanned by AVG?

Reinstall and uninstall AVG again?

(Safer than walking him through the editing the registry over the phone...)

Nope - does not work.

I think there is still a folder in C:\Program Files\*

I may have him blow that away if it will let him.

well you can try that and then run something like ccleaner...also check in msconfig and see if there's a startup line for it...
