I've run into a bit of an issue with the SAMBA printer sharing settings in OS X.
I have my printer connected to my Mac Mini, and I have it shared. I can see it with zero problems from my Windows XP box, and installing the network printer is without issue.
The problem is, I cannot seem to maintain the printer after a restart of my XP machine because all connections to the Mac require a username and password. XP does not seem to remember the username and password it used to connect to the printer originally, so I have to reinstall the printer every time I want to use it.
Is there a way to make printer shares not require a password under OS X (like the Windows guest account)? It's not like I need my printer to be as secure as my data.
