OK, I'm out of ideas here, any input would sure be appreciated

Before you read, note that XP is installed fine-

I can't install Vista 32 OR 64 on my new build. When Vista starts the install I don't even get as far as any menus, my system just reboots shortly after the wallpaper pops up and you get a cursor.

My hardware is:
Q6600
MSI Neo2-FR P35
8800GT
2GB Ballistix Tracer
Audigy 2
Dell Perc 5/IR SAS controller
2x 300GB Seagate 10k SAS drives
WD 320 GB SATA
NEC 3550 DVD Burner
Zalman 600watt PSU

I have tried the following (I left my PC at Stock for all the below):

New Vista media
Disabling all unneeded integrated motherboard devices
Removing all unneeded PCI/e cards
Flashing to new Bios on Video Card
Using a different Video Card
Booting Vista Install from a USB drive (Disabled SATA and IDE on mobo when I tried this)
Downgrading Firmware on motherboard (was at latest)
Different PSU
Different Optical Drive
Different Memory

Note that in XP this system is rock stable, 12+ hours of prime tested while looping HDR demo.

I am utterly stumped.

Windows Vista Business downloaded directly from Microsoft Volume Licensing. I'm currently downloading a version with SP1 rolled in, I'm doubtfull if that will resolve this issue though.

Nope, same crap happened. I did notice that you have "safe mode" options when installing Vista. One option is to kill the auto-restart on system error. Perhaps I'm getting a BSOD or something. I'll give it a try tonight.

Update,
I never did get the install started on my build. I ended up moving my System drive over to my wifes PC, starting the Vista install, then moved the HD back to my PC. I'm typing this on Vista right now.

Think I need to RMA my motherboard :(
