Can't install Far Cry :mad:

Okay, so I got my eVGA 6800GT yesterday with a full version of Far Cry but It won't install on my system. Of course it goes through all 5 cds and at the very end it puts a shortcut on my desktop then takes it away saying "installshield interrupted" and asking me to start over.
My specs:
Xp pro SP2 RC2 (had it over a month no problems)
IS7
P4 [email protected]
1 gb Corsair pc3200
eVGA 6800GT (works great)

1. I have no burning software or virtual drive installed since last format
2. I do have a "C" drive as my main hd
3. I had no other programs running during install
4. I have cleaned my windows temp folder
5. I tried 2 different drives (Lite-On cdrw/Toshiba 16xdvd)

I'm at a loss...I'm thinking something with installshield is borked but how do I fix it?

make sure your temp dirs arent encrypted, thats what was happenin to me when i was tryin to install generals.
