I'm running Win 7 x64. I have 2 pc's and both are identicvle in hardware and software (one at home, one at work). The one at work is fine (that's how I can type this plea for help). The one at home is the one with the problem...

When I click on a favorite link to hardocp (that has worked for years), it now takes me to a page that shows links to articles and nothing else (I think it's called the older news page).

If I type hardocp in my google search, then click on the correct link, it takes me to the same page.

I emptied my cache and history, but that didn't help.

If I type "http://www.hardocp.com" in my url bar and hit enter, two things happen:

1 - Takes me to the same "old news" page

2 - The url I typed in (http://www.hardocp.com) automatically changes to "http://m.hardocp.com", and takes me to the old news page.

Does anybody know how I can fix this? I've only installed Windows updates and the recent patch for Bad Company 2... Can't think of anything I may have done to cause this...

**UPDATE

I did some googling and found a thread about a similar problem. Turns out it's caused by my Audigy soundcard. There was an "auto update something-or-other..." entry in the registry that I had to delete. Once I did, I tried it and voila! Everything's back to normal. Sorry for the false alarm guys. Moderator, feel free to delete if you wish.

I am having a similar problem on my android tablet. I used too be able use it to view the desktop version of the site and now all I can get is the mobile version and when attempting to view articles on the mobile version I can never get past the first page of the article no matter what I do. I started a thread about it but the only responses so far have been from me. HELP!

Sancti0n's issue is different, sorta kinda.

because you're using a tablet, the user-agent provided to the server tells the server it's a mobile device and loads up the mobile page.

in Sancti0n's case, Soundblaster software modified the user-agent, which then borked the page (I've had that issue, and there is a post floating around here I made)

fwiw, there's another (longer) thread about the issues with the mobile site

I'm having the same problem.Could you tell me which auto update or possibly elaborate a little to how you fixed your issue?

I found my solution here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie8-windows_other/internet-explorer-8-redirects-to-mobile-layout/5b0fe536-aa0e-4ba5-999a-60f299928f5a

More specifically, the guy said to do this:

"...Browser to this registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agent\Post Platform

and delete "Creative AutoUpdate v.x.xx.xx"

After doing that I rebooted and it works ok now. Furthermore, i've not experienced any negative effects from doing this with any other progs (iTunes plays fine, games play fine, sound works great in everything that it should). Hope it helps :)

I was having the same problem, but now I'm going directly to the main page.

Whatever it was, I guess they got it fixed.

a fix was put in to place in Sat 9/24, please review and let us know if you experience any other problems

Start a new thread on this if you are still having problems please.
