I'm running Win 7 x64. I have 2 pc's and both are identicvle in hardware and software (one at home, one at work). The one at work is fine (that's how I can type this plea for help). The one at home is the one with the problem...
When I click on a favorite link to hardocp (that has worked for years), it now takes me to a page that shows links to articles and nothing else (I think it's called the older news page).
If I type hardocp in my google search, then click on the correct link, it takes me to the same page.
I emptied my cache and history, but that didn't help.
If I type "http://www.hardocp.com" in my url bar and hit enter, two things happen:
1 - Takes me to the same "old news" page
2 - The url I typed in (http://www.hardocp.com) automatically changes to "http://m.hardocp.com", and takes me to the old news page.
Does anybody know how I can fix this? I've only installed Windows updates and the recent patch for Bad Company 2... Can't think of anything I may have done to cause this...
**UPDATE
I did some googling and found a thread about a similar problem. Turns out it's caused by my Audigy soundcard. There was an "auto update something-or-other..." entry in the registry that I had to delete. Once I did, I tried it and voila! Everything's back to normal. Sorry for the false alarm guys. Moderator, feel free to delete if you wish.
