I work at a public school and 2 kids were using 2 computers with win xp pro and somehow got on a porno site which caused pop ups galoe..i ren spybot and got all the pop ups gone and ran malware too.
problem is on user side no internet,on admin side works fine...ran ipconfig/all and settings look right...
any ideas as to what else to check or is it reload or repair time...

You say admin works? On the computer you can get online fine when admin just not the users?

have you tried ping outside your network?

create a new account and see if that one works?
it's possible something got written to the HKCU part of the registry, which would only effect the student account.

if creating another new acct and it works, rebuild the student acct profile.

no i have not pinged outside of network yet..im wondering if i delete the student as a user reboot the computer and then add a new student user id if that will work...
if i delete the student profile off the client/student computer and then create a new student user as if the profile was never on the computer does this only delete the user off that one computer and it wont effect anything with the domain...like deleting the entire user settings off the server and bringing the whole county down as far as student access....

theoretically, it shouldn't affect anything on any servers.
but if you don't know how the whole network is setup, I would let the IT folks figure it out.
