Can't find video file on burned DVD-R

Hey guys, my father-in-law has a DVD-R they got from a place with a security camera with a clip they needed. The disc is showing almost a full gig used but opening the disc doesn't show anything. I even have show hidden files checked. Is there any type of program to find the file thats apparently hidden on this disc lol. Thanks guys.

There is ISOBuster, but it is a premium product that costs $30. It does have a trial period, but I don't know if it has cut-down features.

Will the disc play video if you stick it in a standalone DVD player?

Can you contact the place you received the disc from and ask for another copy?

I actually tried a couple CD/DVD checking programs and they both came back with no files and a few different errors, so I'm guessing the write was bad or the disc is bad. He is going to try to get the file sent directly to him from a file hosting site.
